03/22/09 When I was at The Rubber Stamp & Scrapbook Show recently with my Brother I picked up a couple of little Karate patches for my seven year old twin girl friends Nola and Rylie. They are pretty kick ass and accomplished Karate girls themselves! Below are the most awesome thank you cards they made for me that I received yesterday from their Mom and my friend Andrea...
A couple weeks ago I received a completely anonymous package from Canada with this silver Lucy 5 cent stand pendant in it and nothing else. No note, not return address, nada. I readily assumed that it was sent via sendsomething.net one of my postcard etc. exchange communities. Well, you know what they say about assuming...it turns out that after excitedly blabbering on about it and showing it to my friend Andrea she finally asks me: "You really have no clue who sent this do you?" I said no and then it hit me a minute later...a couple weeks back she casually mentioned in passing that I might get something in the mail randomly some day. I figured it out and of course was over the moon tickled to death over it albeit feeling a little embarrassed raving on and on like that...such a dork! Either way it is so freaking cool and it will become a choker. Yay!
March, 2009 Me, Nola and Rylie huggin' it out!
This page is dedicated to my new friends Nola and Rylie. And to their Mom and my new and most excellent friend Andrea who has brought such a breath of fresh real air and artistic inspiration to my so-called life since we met a few months back. This is right after I took a door off its hinges with my face and served up a mocha as if that just didn't happen. Now that is customer service at its finest and my goodness-what a way to start a friendship indeed.
Cheers and thank you! -K.
